We’re passionate about capturing weddings on analogue and Super 8 film because there’s something magical about the way these formats preserve memories. The grainy texture, the soft colours, the dreamy quality - they have an unmistakable charm that digital images just can’t replicate. For us, film is more than just a medium; it’s a way to tell a story in the most nostalgic and cinematic way possible.

As millennials, we’re just within the time frame where we can still recall childhood pictures printed on film. Those slightly faded, imperfect yet warm photos that bring us back to family holidays, and moments in time that feel so precious. There’s a rawness to those photos, a sense of something real and tangible, that we’ve always loved. It’s the feeling of a memory captured in its purest form without the crisp, clinical feel of digital. And that’s what we aim to bring to every wedding we shoot with film.

One of the things we love most about shooting on film is the anticipation. In a world where everything is instant, waiting for film to be developed feels like a beautiful pause. There’s something special about the process, the slow, deliberate nature of it. Once your film is shot, it goes off to be developed, where the images are brought to life, often with an element of surprise. It’s a reminder that not everything in life is immediate, and that’s something we treasure. It’s a deliberate, thoughtful approach to capturing your day.

Super 8, in particular, has an old-school romanticism to it. The rolling frames, the slight flicker, and the vintage feel make every wedding film look like something from a bygone era, yet timeless all the same. It’s a perfect contrast to the sharpness of digital, offering something softer, more intimate, and undeniably beautiful. We adore how it transforms a simple wedding moment, into something cinematic and nostalgic.

We incorporate analogue and Super 8 into our weddings because it adds that unique touch, a layer of artistry that isn’t always possible with digital alone. It’s about more than just the aesthetic; it’s about offering something that feels personal, timeless, and special just like your wedding day.

If you’re drawn to the charm of film and the romantic look it gives, we’d love to chat about how we can weave it into your day. From Super 8 wedding films to classic 35mm photography, we’ll make sure your love story is captured in a way that’s as beautiful and unique as the memories you’ll cherish forever.
