Pastel and Period Drama-Inspired Wedding at Meade Hall
India and Josh’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of their personalities and passions. From the moment we met them, it was clear how much thought and care had gone into every aspect of their day. They both wanted something that felt deeply personal, and the result was an intimate, yet stunning celebration that we were lucky enough to capture.
Getting Ready: A Personal Touch
India got ready at her family home, surrounded by her bridesmaids and her mum, who did her hair. Having years of experience with dance shows, India’s mum was a pro at styling, and India fully trusted her with her hair. The bridesmaids each wore a unique pastel dress, yet somehow each one complemented the others perfectly. It was the perfect balance of individuality and unity. India, an avid fan of Pride and Prejudice, subtly wove the theme throughout, especially in the bridesmaids’ dresses, which had a soft Regency vibe.

India’s hair was styled in a beautifully tangled (a.k.a Disney's Rapunzel) inspired look, with a long braid adorned with delicate flowers, which added a natural, romantic touch to her bridal look. It felt like something right out of a period drama, and the flowers perfectly complemented the pastel tones of the wedding. There were other little nods the film throughout the day, Meade Hall, with its cosy tavern atmosphere, resembled the Suggly Duckling Tavern from the film.

India’s dress was nothing short of breathtaking, an elegant white gown with delicate pink floral prints. The floral straps added a beautiful touch of femininity and romance.

A particularly special detail was India’s rings-being a talented goldsmith, she created them herself, which felt so fitting for her and Josh’s story.
The Ceremony: Faith and Love
The ceremony was held in their place of worship and was beautifully centered around their faith. The service focused on how the Bible could guide and strengthen their marriage, making it feel incredibly meaningful. Afterward, we made our way to Meade Hall, a charming, cozy tavern-style venue that was the perfect fit for their celebration.

Meade Hall: The Perfect Venue
Meade Hall was beautifully transformed by the couple’s family, who took care of the decorations. The space felt warm and welcoming, with huge pink and purple floral installations hanging from the ceiling. The flowers created a soft, romantic atmosphere, and the pastel candles throughout added a lovely, glowing light to the room. The venue has a welcoming, homey feel that’s perfect for couples who want a more intimate vibe without sacrificing space for a good party. There’s just enough room to keep the vibe relaxed while still being able to have fun with friends and family.
Bridal Party Portraits: Vintage Vibes
One of the most memorable moments of the day for us was when we took the bridal party out for portraits by the cricket fields nearby. It may sound like an unlikely spot, but it turned out to be the perfect setting for a Downton Abbey-esque, period drama-inspired shoot. Using the edge of the field and some chairs, we created a relaxed yet elegant scene with lots of levels and fun poses, capturing the vintage charm of the day.

Golden Hour: The Last Rays of Sunshine
As the sun began to set, we were blessed with the most beautiful golden hour, which allowed us to sneak in a few more pictures of Josh and India. We then grabbed the bridesmaids for some additional shots with their pastel parasols, which perfectly complemented the Pride and Prejudice-inspired aesthetic India loved so much.
Josh and India were so sweet and down-to-earth, and it was evident how much they cared for each other. Josh was more than happy to do whatever it took to give India the wedding photos of her dreams. Their love and support for one another were visible throughout the day, and we felt so lucky to be part of it.
A Heartfelt Speech and a Touch of Period Drama
As the evening unfolded, more guests arrived, and the party started in full swing. Josh and India cut their stunning vintage-style frilly cake, which was as perfect as the rest of the day’s details. Josh also gave a heartfelt speech, thanking everyone for being there, especially his new bride. He ended it with a quote from Pride and Prejudice: “You must allow me to tell you how ardently I love you.” Pretty smooth my guy, pretty smooth.

India, being a dancer, had secretly choreographed a short dance for the couple, with some subtle period elements woven in.

It was a sweet moment that guests adored, and it quickly got everyone onto the dance floor for the rest of the evening.
The Grand Finale: Fireworks
As the night came to a close, India and Josh treated their guests to a stunning fireworks display. It was the perfect way to cap off their unforgettable day-bright, bold, and full of sparkle, just like their celebration. The colorful bursts of light lit up the sky, leaving everyone in awe and adding a magical final touch to an already incredible evening.
